Dr. Benjamin D. Crowell
Dr. Benjamin D. Crowell grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi, earning his B.S. in Biology from the University of South Alabama before graduating with honors from Nova Southeastern University in 2010 with a B.S. in Vision Science and Doctorate of Optometry. Part of his training included his externship with #1 Eye Hospital, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida and a residency at the VAMC in Salisbury/Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Crowell is also an active Fellow with the American Academy of Optometry. Prior to Optometry school, Dr. Crowell was an optician for six years and worked alongside a full surfacing lab for eyeglasses manufacturing. After practicing on the East Coast, he relocated to the Northwest, where he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and daughter. Though he works many hours in the clinic, he still allows time for several hobbies from snowboarding, motorcycles at the track and also becoming an HPDE driving instructor with one of the local car clubs.
Dr. Mai X. Nguyen
Dr. Mai X. Nguyen was born in San Jose, California and moved to Washington in 1998. She earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington, and then completed both her B.S. in Vision Science and Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in 2010. Prior to Optometry school, Dr. Nguyen worked at a Seattle OMD Clinic, giving her an opportunity to increase her desire to go into the field. Dr. Nguyen completed her training through externships with Braverman Eye Center and Eye Centers of South Florida. Dr. Nguyen gained extensive experience in patience care and evaluating and managing ocular disease and Post-Ops. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter.
